Working with Addaction
We work with people from very different backgrounds and often those who are furthest removed from the workplace including: offenders, long term unemployed, people with mental health issues, people with low or no qualifications, those with learning difficulties, young people and more.
In 2012 RE:SOURCE became a subsidiary of the national behavioural change charity Addaction and through our partnership we are increasingly working with people struggling with addictions, who suffer many of the problems of social exclusion experienced by our other service users. These problems can hamper recovery and cause relapse.
RE:SOURCE is able to help individuals address these concerns by offering a wide variety of volunteering roles in a real work environment, continued access to addiction support and dedicated employability support, including strong links to local employers. This is a unique offer in Cornwall.
All of the benefits of our work placements that are recognised as being integral for the rehabilitation of those struggling with Addiction, along with the additional employability support that we offer have the same positive effects for many other groups which are furthest removed from the workplace and by helping to support these additional groups we are also able to provide a more varied and integrated work community which can help people to break cycles and patterns of behaviour that may be reinforced by their social circles and peers.
